Lake Lanier Outdoor Portraits
Playing around with my Sony a6000 mirrorless camera, that my good friend (Lake McGuire) bought me a few years ago, to take some Lake Lanier outdoor portraits. It’s a really nice all around camera that I use more often than I’d like to admit, being a Nikon user and all. I’m strongly considering switching ALL of my Nikon gear to the Sony lineup, particularly the Sony A9. I’ll certainly keep you posted.
As I mentioned, our dear friend purchased this camera for us a few years ago. We were in Austin photographing his newborn portrait session of his first daughter. He asked us to take him camera shopping for a camera to photograph his baby girl during her first year of life. He looked through many cameras before deciding which one was the best. Then he looked at the salesman and said, “I’ll take 2 of everything.” Michelle and I don’t get stoked too often, but this is one of those shocking moments where your mouth falls to the floor. We have had this camera for 2 years now and are so in love with its ability to photograph those moments where we don’t have our Studio camera.
40th Birthday Surprise
This portrait is from Michelle’s 40th birthday. I surprised her with a day on the boat at Lake Lanier. This is one of the many portraits photographed on these rocks. I look forward to sharing those in another post. The kids now have a heart for fishing too. This was a short break to fish and let Michelle get some land legs. Getting older has made her a little sea sick.
