Outfits for Senior Pictures
Generally, we recommend that students bring a few outfits for their senior photos. Ultimately, the wardrobe is up to you, but many people opt to do a few seniors pictures in formal wear or dress clothes, some in casual wear, and a few in their sports uniforms or clothing that showcase their hobbies such as marching band uniforms or cheerleading outfits.
Hairstyles for Senior Portraits
Natural, easy-to-maintain hairstyles tend to be the best for senior photos, but if you want to have an updo or something a bit fancier for some of the senior portraits, you may want to arrange to do your photoshoot over a two day period rather than all at once. If your child plans to get a haircut before the photoshoot, it's usually best to schedule the haircut a week in advance. That gives it time to settle before the big day. Typically, this is not the time to try something new. Stick with styles that you know work.
Props for Senior Photography
The right props help enhance photographs, and they create a visual memory of your child's hobbies and interests at the end of High School. Sports players may want to hold a ball, musicians may want to include their instruments, and theater lovers may want comedy and tragedy masks in their senior photos. On top of small props, there are a huge range of backgrounds, chairs, stools, and other props that can help to set the scene. The right photographer helps to pull all of that together so that your child's photo session looks as coordinated and attractive as possible.
