Keisha & Tarrance’s Maternity and Newborn Photography Sessions

Keisha and Tarrance Miller, a tax lawyer and a criminal lawyer, met each other through a mutual friend. Their differing personalities made them feel immediately attracted to each other. While Keisha is the more outgoing one and Tarrance on the quiet side, they appreciate each other’s qualities and feel they balance each other out.

When they found out they were expecting, they searched all over Atlanta for the perfect maternity photographer. They were delighted to find us, James Hill Photography, and we had a lovely time together during their maternity photography session.

The couple’s daughter made her appearance in the world on March 5, 2019, which also happens to be Keisha’s birthday. The shared birthday happened by just one hour as Noah Grace was born at 12:55 a.m. Having had a wonderful maternity photography experience with us, Keisha and Tarrance were eager to schedule their newborn photography session as well.

An Angel of a Baby Girl

We always provide our clients with as much artistic expression as possible with maternity and newborn photography sessions. The Millers took advantage of this freedom to bring in a pair of angel wings to place on infant Noah Grace during the photo shoot. They purchased the baby angel wings through a vendor called Sew Trendy.

This happy couple also decided to bring their own white infant bed and a deep blue dress for their daughter. Both items came from the retailer Baby Bella. We both really enjoyed working with this couple and their baby. It was so obvious they have deep love and respect for one another and will be great parents to their daughter.

Keisha and Tarrance Enjoy Strong Spiritual Bonds

Keisha’s father is a youth group leader while Tarrance’s father is a pastor. This gave both of them a strong spiritual foundation growing up. They first became great friends and then grew closer together as husband and wife because they both sought to serve the Lord in all they do. Now that they are parents, the bond they share will only grow deeper.

Maternity and Newborn Photography

Maternity photo sessions are extremely popular at James Hill Photography due to their quality and creativity. While you can schedule a session at any time during your pregnancy, we recommend the window from the start of the sixth month to about midway through the seventh month.

One reason for this is that it ensures your spot if you give birth early. The bigger reason, however, is that you are obviously showing at this stage of your pregnancy but not yet too uncomfortable to move freely. You may bring your own gowns for this photo shoot or use the ones we have in our studio. We offer a wide range of props and the option to do a garden maternity session.

As for newborn photos, we recommend five to 10 days after the birth. We also advise you to schedule up to two months in advance to guarantee the time and date you want. Those first few days are ideal because infants sleep most of the time and are more cooperative during the session. They also haven’t developed baby acne that is common in the first month. The two to three hour session allows time for feeding and changing your newborn.
