I’m so excited to share one of my favorite newborn photography sessions of 2017. All the babies that enter my studio are beautiful and special, but little Ava is a little miracle. During our session I didn’t ask any questions about differences I noticed in Ava. In the first few weeks after birth, parents are already going through so much. It wasn’t until our ordering session that the Haynes family shared what they have been going through. Through tears her parents shared their story.
After doctors only gave her a 1% chance of being born, Ava Grace is a miracle in every sense. Ava has a rare chromosome disorder called Turner Syndrome which will affect her for her entire life. Her name is very fitting because Ava means “living/life” and Grace means “in God’s favor.” Now this little bundle joy brings everyone so much happiness every second of every day.
This was the first time I did a newborn photoshoot in my new silver bowl. This has certainly become one of my favorite props to use on newborns. The silver is so stunning with the tiara too.
Niya is so in love with her new baby sister. Taking pictures of the two of them was such a joy! I can tell Niya is going to protect her baby sister for the rest of their lives. She is a wonderful sister!

While Ava was taking a little snack break, we were able to capture some adorable portraits of Niya. Her smile is infectious!

Our hanging sack is always a favorite prop for our newborn photography clients. Most of our babies love them too. However, it usually creates a bowel movement. Always a good laugh!
Perfect newborn portrait of Mom, Dad and Ava. This family has been through so much in the last 10 months. You can see in their faces how much they love this little angel. Ava is one loved baby!
