Celebrating 16 Years of Marriage on The Atlanta BeltLine

Until now most of our anniversaries involved hiring a babysitter, going out to dinner, and trying to find something exciting to do. This year we celebrated our anniversary a little bit differently.  James and I loaded up our bikes and went out for a day together. We spent the day celebrating 16 years of marriage on the Atlanta BeltLine, taking pleasure in finding great places to take cute snapshots and just be silly together.

Here are a few great spots we found along the way. Please keep in mind that all portraits are taken on my iPhone, and no, I’m not talking about the iPhone 7 with the amazing portrait capture.  They are not edited in any way. I just wanted to add a quick post for those who missed our Instagram Stories earlier this week.

This location was certainly one of my favorite spots. This piece of art is so beautiful! James asked another biker to take our picture.

Then he changed the pose and told me to look at him. And then…

He pushed me! Anything for the picture, right?!

We love ATL! So many great walls along the BeltLine.

Two things to note in this photo. One, the flowers are so incredible. Two, the construction in the background. It’s amazing all the construction currently on the BeltLine. New buildings, new restaurants, and more shopping are all going in. Our view is constantly changing!

This metal structure is new to the BeltLine and I love it! Can’t wait to photograph a high school senior in some fabulous outfit! So cool!

Here is another great spot for a high school senior or even a family portrait. Makes me feel like I’m oversees in some fabulous location, and the backgrounds are so beautiful!

This little spot is a perfect location for a sweet couple in the evening glow. The stones are just so gorgeous! It’s also a great spot for James’ acrobatics. (Yes, I made him do it.)

Yes, I tried to be like James and I chickened out. (I want to be like him when I grow up.)

Our sweet love story started in the 8th grade. We met in middle school and soon became high school sweethearts. Now we have an amazing family with 3 healthy children. We are living our lives doing exactly what we love. God is good! We are all lovers of animals too. You could say our home is a “Farm In The City” with our dog, Sadie, two cats (Violet & Lily), a bearded dragon, a chameleon, and four egg-laying chickens. They keep us busy and always laughing.
